Arnis Labunskis was in closing speeches in his murder trial at the Central Criminal Court on 14 February 2017, after being charged with murdering his flatmate.

The charge concerns the death of Dainius Burba at their home in Limerick on 21 or 22 April 2015. Labunskis pleaded not guilty, while prosecuting counsel argued that his account of self-defence did not withstand scrutiny.

Defence counsel was due to address the jury before the judge put the jurors in charge.
