Anthony Ryan was sentenced to five years, with the final year suspended, for assault causing harm and sexual assault, reported at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 4 February 2014.
The offences occurred in a Dublin suburb on 13 July 2012 after Ryan followed an 18-year-old woman from a Coolock nightclub. He pleaded guilty after punching her unconscious before sexually assaulting her.
