Anthony McNamara lost his appeal against convictions for violent disorder, criminal damage and producing a machete, in the Court of Appeal, reported on 27 April 2021.
The convictions arose from an attack on a family home at Ardmore Park, Tallaght, Dublin, on 9 October 2018.
The court dismissed an argument that evidence about another damaged house had unfairly prejudiced his trial.
McNamara was previously sentenced to five years and six months in prison, with the final six months suspended.
