This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Anthony Hickey was jailed for rape, oral rape and sexual assault at the Central Criminal Court on 27 March 2025, receiving 16 years with the final year suspended. The offences included attacks in a car and at his then-home in Dundrum.

Fabio Vicente received the same sentence after convictions for two counts of rape. Matin Zolfaghari was sentenced to 14 years, with the final year suspended, after conviction for oral rape; the jury found him not guilty of sexually assaulting the woman in the car.

Mr Justice Paul Burns said the men had acted together and taken advantage of the woman’s vulnerable state. He said the blame rested solely with the men and that she was not at fault.

The judge directed all three men to undergo Probation Service supervision for three years after release and backdated their sentences to the date they entered custody. The men have lodged appeals against their convictions and sentences.
