Andrew Byrne, 35, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to assault causing harm and theft in Temple Bar, Dublin, on 11 September 2020.

He was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment on 23 November 2021, backdated to his entry into custody.
