Alan Wilson is on trial accused of murdering Mariora Rostas at Brabazon Street, The Coombe, between 7 and 8 January 2008. He has pleaded not guilty. The proceedings were reported on 27 June 2014.

The report said the 18-year-old’s body was found in the Dublin Mountains four years after she went missing. The trial heard she died from four gunshot wounds to the head. Gardaí gave evidence about searches in the Dublin/Wicklow Mountains in January 2012. The court was told they located an empty bunker concealed by soil and wood before finding the teenager’s body in a shallow grave.

The jury was told comparisons between bullets recovered from her head and a bullet retrieved from a wall at the Brabazon Street house were inconclusive. The wall bullet came from a room on a floor below the room where the prosecution alleged the teenager was killed. The report said the trial would continue the following week.
