Adrian Crevan Mackin’s IRA membership case was formally disposed of at Dublin’s Special Criminal Court, reported on 5 November 2015. The court marked the indictment “accused deceased”.

Mackin had been charged with membership of an unlawful organisation styling itself the Irish Republican Army, also known as Óglaigh na hÉireann, on 16 January. His counsel sought the return of €5,000 lodged as an independent surety, and the presiding judge agreed that the hearing could be treated as a trial day.
