This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Adam Rzepka was jailed for 10 years at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for possessing cannabis worth over €1.1 million, with the final two years suspended; Judge Codd imposed the sentence. The offences occurred at Hickey’s Yard, The Ward, Co Dublin, on 29 November 2021.

Rzepka pleaded guilty to the cannabis charge, possessing a car used in drug trafficking, having a mixing agent for drug trafficking and possessing €33,090 in criminal proceeds. The sentence was consecutive to a seven-year money-laundering term he was already serving. The suspended portion was conditional on good behaviour and keeping the peace.

The report said Rzepka admitted unpacking drugs from dog-food bags but denied knowledge of the other drugs and mixing agents, saying he feared for his safety. Michael Bowman SC submitted that Rzepka had tried to take his own life several times since his arrest because he believed the courts would treat him more harshly as a foreign national. The proceedings were reported on 15 May 2024.
