This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Adam Marlowe was convicted of aggravated burglary, assault and robbery at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. The proceedings were reported on 5 June 2018. The offences involved the home of 81-year-old farmer Malachy Turley at Kettles Lane, Kinsealy, Dublin, on 29 July 2016.

Marlowe, of Walkinstown Drive, Walkinstown, Dublin, had pleaded not guilty to aggravated burglary and assault causing harm. The jury returned unanimous guilty verdicts on all counts after a four-day trial and deliberated for about one hour.

The court heard that blue latex material found in the farmer’s home carried DNA matching Marlowe. Judge Melanie Greally had told the jury to approach the evidence with care because only one piece of DNA evidence was available to it. She remanded him in custody for sentence on 6 July 2018.
