A 44-year-old Kildare man was found guilty of rape and sexual assault at the Central Criminal Court, reported on 20 February 2017.

A jury convicted him of 17 counts of sexually assaulting his stepdaughter between 2004 and 2007 and 16 counts of raping her between 2008 and 2011.
