A 27-year-old Dublin man pleaded guilty to threatening to kill a woman, threatening to damage her home, harassing her and repeatedly contacting her in breach of a Family Court order at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. The plea is undated. The proceedings were reported on 12 May 2023.

The offences took place between June and July 2022. Judge Martina Baxter ordered a probation report and adjourned the case to July 26 for a plea in mitigation. The man remains barred from contacting the woman except about access to their child, and has supervised visits.

Defence counsel Anne Rowland SC said he had been desperately anxious about not seeing his daughter, while relations had since settled and he was making maintenance payments as much as he could.
