A 29-year-old Sligo woman has been granted bail by the High Court despite objections from the Director of Public Prosecutions, following an arrest warrant issued against her for alleged breaches of previous bail conditions. The woman, with a last address in Finisklin, pleaded guilty in November 2017 to impeding the investigation into a killing between August 2 and 3, 2015. She was released on bail in February on strict conditions including residence in sheltered accommodation, drug and alcohol abstinence, weekly garda sign-on, and a daytime curfew. The State informed Mr Justice Paul McDermott that gardaí have no knowledge of her current whereabouts and that she has not complied with sign-on requirements since mid-February. Evidence indicated she had tested positive for drugs whilst on bail. The judge was satisfied a breach had occurred and issued the arrest warrant.
