EU Presidency: Informal meeting of EU Defence Ministers, Co. Wicklow, 31st August to 1st September 2026

An Garda Síochána is providing information regarding traffic and security arrangements for the informal meetings of EU Defence Ministers and EU Foreign Affairs Ministers in Druids Glen, Co. Wicklow, from 31 August to 2 September 2026. Traffic restrictions will be in place on roads near the Druids Glen Hotel and Golf Resort, including Woodstock Road, Creowen Road, and others. Gardaí are facilitating access for local residents and businesses and may implement temporary road closures for security purposes. Members of the public are advised to comply with Garda instructions. Drone restrictions will be in place, with UAS Geographical Zones and TRA notifications issued by the Irish Aviation Authority. A temporary maritime exclusion zone will also be in effect in the waters off Co. Wicklow. Real-time updates will be provided via Garda social media and the official website.
