Two new apartments added to Markievicz Road building, derelict site cleared

DDR Investments Ltd wanted to knock down a derelict building on Holborn Street and add two new one-bedroom apartments to the existing residential building at 7–8 Markievicz Road, along with storage for bikes and bins. The plan also included a roof terrace and maintenance access ladder. Sligo County Council refused the application on 13 May 2026.
