The Labour Court refused Josephine Kenny’s request to extend the deadline for appealing her unfair-dismissal case against Galway & Roscommon ETB. In a determination dated 31 August 2016, the Court found the appeal was received one day late and that a mistaken calculation did not amount to exceptional circumstances. It had no jurisdiction to hear the appeal, so the merits were not decided.
