The Labour Court found that Willogrove Ltd unfairly dismissed Malik Omer Shahzad and ordered the company to pay him €4,000 compensation. The determination was signed on 23 August 2016. Shahzad said he was dismissed from his chef’s job at the company’s Eddie Rockets franchise in Liffey Valley on 12 February 2015. Willogrove Ltd said he had resigned after the company discovered he was working at two locations for more than 48 hours a week. The Court found that he had been dismissed and had not resigned.
