The Labour Court rejected Keith Blundell’s constructive dismissal appeal against CPL Health Care and Tusla (the Child and Family Agency), finding that he had not shown that ending his employment was his only reasonable option. The determination was signed on 27 July 2016.
Blundell said safety concerns and other workplace issues led him to stop working at Tusla’s Ballydowd facility. The Court found that he left after Tusla did not immediately confirm medical expense payments and access to an assault payment scheme, and that he had not used available procedures to pursue those issues.
