The Labour Court increased compensation for Henrietta Pitrik to €823.48 after finding Allpro Services T/A Allpro Security Services Ireland Limited failed to meet its information duties when a cleaning contract at Waterford Institute of Technology transferred to a new contractor. The determination was dated 19 May 2017.
Allpro appealed the Adjudication Officer’s €500 award, and Pitrik cross-appealed. The Court found there had been no collective information or consultation process. Allpro had not identified the new contractor to Pitrik or told her or her representatives about measures envisaged by the new contractor. It directed Allpro to pay four weeks’ remuneration, €823.48, and varied the original decision.
