The Labour Court increased Breeda Lynch’s award against Patrick Power, trading as The Trading Post, from €150 to €350 after finding breaches of the Terms of Employment (Information) Act. The determination was signed on 12 March 2019. Lynch appealed the original award, saying she had not received written terms of employment or written notice when her role changed. Power accepted that neither document had been provided and said written contracts had since been issued to employees. The Court found breaches of Sections 3 and 5 and ordered Power to pay Lynch €350 within six weeks.
