The Labour Court upheld the decision against Catherine Sheehan in her appeal over Cork County Council’s return of her to her substantive grade after an acting manager assignment. The determination was dated 19 February 2019. Sheehan argued that not renewing her higher-grade role changed her terms of employment. The council said the assignment was temporary and she remained a permanent employee. The Court found she had returned to her substantive position and that no breach of the Terms of Employment (Information) Acts had occurred.
