By Orla Quinn

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court found William Jones’s complaint against Coolmore Stud was out of time and that it had no jurisdiction to investigate it; the merits were not decided. The determination was signed on 23 April 2018. Jones said he had not been notified in writing of changes to his employment conditions. His employment ended when he retired on 16 January 2015, and the WRC received his complaint on 22 March 2016. The Court found the six-month deadline had expired by 15 July 2015 and no extension could bring the complaint within time.
