Labour Court rules Quick Service Rest System Limited appeal over employment terms complaint was not properly before it

The Labour Court determined that Quick Service Rest System Limited's appeal concerning the Terms of Employment complaint was not properly before it. The determination was signed on 22 February 2018. The company argued that it, rather than Serghei Groppa, trading as Humdinger's, had employed Vitali Saveljev and should have been named in the original proceedings. The Court found the company had no standing to maintain the appeal and could not retrospectively substitute one party for another. The appeal therefore failed on a preliminary issue, and the determination left the underlying findings undisturbed.
