Labour Court upholds finding against Four Seasons Hotel worker on appeal

By Niamh Kearney

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court dismissed Iryna Bulychova’s appeal on 4 August 2017, upholding the finding that Four Seasons Hotel Ltd had not breached the Terms of Employment (Information) Act. Bulychova said she had not been notified in writing of a change to her duties after management discussed moving her from housekeeping to wash-up work. The hotel said her contract already included wash-up duties and the proposed move had not taken effect. The Court found there had been no change to her job title or work, and that the move had not taken place. Her contract listed her job title as “Wash-up”.
