The Labour Court raised compensation for Helen Mc Cabe, a former massage therapist at Castle Leslie’s spa, to €1,000 on 30 September 2016. She had appealed only the amounts awarded by the Adjudication Officer, who had granted €800 in total.
The Court increased compensation for failure to provide written employment terms from €400 to €500 and for delayed hand-scanning from €100 to €200. The €300 award for a period when she was available but not given work remained unchanged. The Court upheld the findings that those complaints were well founded; her unfair dismissal complaint was not well founded. Total compensation rose to €1,000.
