The Labour Court set aside a finding that Roman Bilicki exceeded working-time limits and upheld a €1,500 award against his former employer, Cosgrave Transport (Limerick) Ltd. The determination was dated 2 October 2015. Bilicki, a truck driver, complained about excessive weekly hours, lack of notification about the regulations and missing work-hour records. The Court found that a 45-minute break and a foreseeable 75-minute availability period did not count as working time, so it set aside the earlier finding on weekly limits. The notification complaint was out of time; the merits were not decided. The Court found the records requirement had been breached and affirmed the €1,500 compensation award.
