The Labour Court overturned an earlier decision and found security officer Krzysztof Stanek entitled to a statutory redundancy payment after a period of lay-off. The Court dated its determination 30 April 2018.
Mr Stanek appealed an Adjudication Officer’s decision that he had not been made redundant. The Court found that he met the statutory requirements to claim after lay-off and that G4S Secure Solutions (Ireland) Ltd had not issued the required written counter-notice. The Court set aside the earlier decision and granted the entitlement, without stating a payment amount.
