The Labour Court rejected the Irish National Painters & Decorators Trade Group’s complaint that Thomas Brennan & Sons Ltd breached the construction industry registered employment agreement by failing to register employees in its pensions, assurance and sick-pay scheme. The Court concluded that the company’s primary business functions did not fall within the agreement’s definitions of a building or civil engineering firm. The decision was signed on 23 June 2006.
