Labour Court rejects union claim that KN Network Services breached construction agreement

The Labour Court rejected a claim by the Irish National Painters & Decorators Trade Group that K & N Plant (Ire) Limited Trading As KN Network Services had breached the Construction Industry Registered Employment Agreement on pensions, assurance and sick pay. The decision was dated 10 November 2003. The union said the company had to register its employees in the scheme because of the nature of its work, including work on building sites. The Court found that the company did not fall within the definition of companies covered by the agreement.
