The Labour Court upheld Olubunmi Daramola’s Payment of Wages appeal against Blue Space Business Management Ltd, awarding compensation equal to four weeks’ gross salary after finding one month’s notice pay had gone unpaid. Its decision was signed on 20 June 2025. The decision does not give a euro value for the award. The complaint also concerned annual leave, public holidays, Saturday work and sick pay. The respondent confirmed it would pay the outstanding annual leave, public-holiday and Saturday-work amounts recorded in the decision. The Court found discretionary sick pay was not properly payable, while statutory sick leave payment was due if it had not already been paid. Daramola’s separate Equality complaint was withdrawn.
