The Labour Court upheld a €245 award to Deborah Delamico for three days’ work and holiday pay after Marc O’Mahony and the Good Food Shop appealed. Its determination was signed on 18 January 2022. Delamico sought payment for attending the shop on 16, 17 and 20 July 2020. The employer said she had attended unpaid training before her employment began on 23 July. The Court found there was no signed agreement supporting unpaid training and that her required attendance established a contractual relationship. It directed payment of €227 for 22.5 hours at €10.10 an hour, plus €18 holiday pay, and affirmed the Adjudication Officer’s decision.
