The Labour Court upheld a ruling that Mr Alan O’Connor was not entitled to €2,677.08 in back pay from his former employer, Accent Solutions. The determination was dated 15 March 2022. O’Connor argued that his contract entitled him to a month’s pay when his employment ended in March 2020. He relied on its wording that he would be paid monthly in arrears and said his first payment came after he started work in October 2006. Accent Solutions said transferred employment records showed no entitlement to an additional month’s pay. The Court found O’Connor had not provided payslips or a bank statement to support his claim that he had not been paid for October 2006. It found the complaint not well founded and upheld the Adjudication Officer’s decision.
