The Labour Court upheld a €550 award to Kenneth Travers for his employer’s failure to provide statutory notice or pay in lieu when his employment ended. The determination was signed on 25 February 2016. Travers, a bricklayer, appealed a Rights Commissioner’s award against Annaclone Construction Limited T/A M.&T. Builders. The Court saw no reason to disturb the €550 award under the Payment of Wages Act 1991.
