The Labour Court affirmed two earlier decisions against Enda Murphy in his minimum wage appeal against Frank Regan T/A DNG Frank Regan. The determination was signed on 5 February 2018. Murphy said he expected payment of €18 to €20 an hour for estate agency work between 31 October 2013 and 14 June 2014, but received no payment. Regan said the arrangement was unpaid work experience and denied offering to pay him. The Court found Murphy had not shown that a contract of service was concluded and noted there was no final agreement on the rate of pay. The appeal failed and the earlier decisions were affirmed.
