The Labour Court directed Adil Bajgora, trading as Roma Takeaway, to pay Mariena Domin €15,000 under an earlier Rights Commissioner decision that had not been implemented. The determination was signed on 6 January 2014.
Domin referred the case to the Court on 21 November 2013 under section 31(1) of the National Minimum Wage Act, 2000. She complained that Bajgora had failed to carry out the Rights Commissioner’s decision. The Court recorded that the employer had not implemented the decision and had not appealed it within the time limit.
The Court determined that Bajgora must pay the €15,000 specified by the earlier decision. The Labour Court’s determination enforced that decision; it did not record an additional award.
