The Labour Court directed Rosemary Kifordu to pay former employee Vivian George Udoka €45,918 in wage arrears and €500 in expenses after finding that a Rights Commissioner’s decision had not been carried out. The determination was signed on 23 July 2013. Udoka brought a complaint under section 31(1) of the National Minimum Wage Act 2000, saying Kifordu had not implemented the earlier decision. The Labour Court recorded that the decision had not been carried out and that no appeal had been brought against it within the time limit. It then determined that Kifordu must pay the amounts set by the Rights Commissioner: €45,918 for arrears of wages and €500 for expenses.
