The Labour Court upheld a one-week notice award to former waiter Filippo Pollina after Brownes Of Sandymount Limited appealed. In its determination dated 1 April 2019, the Court said its finding that Pollina had been dismissed under the Unfair Dismissals Acts meant he was entitled to one week’s notice. Pollina said he had been dismissed without notice; the company said he had left his job.
