The Labour Court recommended 60 hours’ time in lieu and €1,750 for each covered worker at Daa Cork Airport, in full and final settlement of a dispute over withdrawn time off. The recommendation was signed on 26 June 2025. The dispute involved about 30 workers represented by SIPTU. Their previous arrangement provided 36 hours’ time in lieu each year because work volumes meant staff did not always get their contractual breaks. DAA said breaks could now be scheduled and disputed that retrospective compensation was due. The Court also recommended that management engage with the union before changing collective agreements.
