The Labour Court has closed A Healthcare Assistant’s appeal after the Health Service Executive confirmed that she had no involvement in a public complaint about patient care and had done nothing wrong. The decision was signed on 24 June 2025. The worker, represented by Unite the Union, had appealed an Adjudication Officer’s recommendation that the parties meet and reconsider using a third-party mediator. At the hearing, the HSE also said the line manager had handled the matter incorrectly. The Court said the worker should accept the confirmations in full and final settlement and that the parties should consider the matter closed.
