Labour Court recommends closure of worker’s HSE grievance dispute

The Labour Court recommended that the parties accept a worker’s dispute with HSE West, Mental Health Service, Cho2 as closed. The recommendation was signed on 12 August 2024, following the worker’s appeal of an adjudication officer’s recommendation. The worker said management mishandled her grievances and failed to address accusations she described as bullying and harassment. The Court found she had received the full benefit of each grievance stage and identified no major process flaws apart from delays. Management acknowledged the delays, attributing many to Covid-19. The Court noted that no disciplinary action had been taken against the worker and management said she would not be penalised for raising a grievance.
