The Labour Court recommended that the Health Service Executive honour the recommendations of an independent review commissioned by agreement with FORSA. The Court upheld the Adjudication Officer’s recommendation on 5 July 2023. The HSE had appealed, arguing that some review recommendations went beyond the agreed terms of reference and that a manager lacked authority to accept them. The Court said it was difficult to see how it could help resolve the dispute by recommending anything other than acceptance of the agreed review.
