Labour Court recommends 36 volunteers for Haleon summer shutdown talks

The Labour Court recommended that Haleon seek 36 volunteers to run four blister lines during the 2023 summer shutdown, and that it hold talks with 500 Mixed Grades about the rest of its proposal to end the shutdown. The recommendation was dated 29 June 2023. Haleon said the change was driven by business demands and would let staff take annual leave at other times. 500 Mixed Grades raised concerns about a lack of consultation, shift arrangements and access to summer leave. The Court said there had been no meaningful engagement and recommended that talks begin without preconditions.
