Labour Court recommends University of Limerick worker refer pay grievance to WRC

The Labour Court recommended that a worker at University Of Limerick refer her pay grievance to WRC adjudication services and that the university engage in that process. The recommendation was signed on 10 May 2023; the Court made no finding on the underlying pay grievance. The worker's representative said her salary had been reduced after a realignment and sought recognition of her employment from 1990 and restoration of her previous salary and associated entitlements. University Of Limerick did not attend, believing the issue had been addressed in an earlier Payment of Wages Act case.
