The Labour Court recommended a 30% premium for night work at Lakeland Dairies from 1 September 2022, along with pay increases for 350 Workers. The recommendation was signed on 21 July 2022. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought a 14.75% pay rise over three years and a 33% night premium. Lakeland Dairies said a 9.75% pay increase was the most it could afford and proposed a 28% night premium. The Court recommended the WRC pay proposals, amended to include a 3.75% increase from 1 April 2022. The package also included a €500 payment through the Small Benefit Tax Exemption Voucher Scheme, with a minimum guarantee for qualifying employees.
