The Labour Court recommended pay increases for about 200 Abbott Ireland operatives, represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, but found no merit in the union's claim for higher overtime rates. The recommendation was signed on 9 June 2022. The Court recommended increases of 2% from 1 January 2021, 3% from 1 January 2022 and 3% from 1 January 2023, with the agreement ending on 31 December 2023. It did not recommend the requested move to double-time overtime rates for 12-hour process operators and laboratory technicians.
