Labour Court finds worker’s grievance complaint against Brothers of Charity failed

The Labour Court found that a worker’s complaint against Brothers Of Charity failed because she had not exhausted the internal grievance process. The recommendation was signed on 18 May 2022. The dispute concerned a move from residential to day-service hours and an update to her contract. The worker said she was unhappy about not being assigned to day services and being asked about night shifts; the employer said there were no day-service vacancies when she returned and that the repeated night-work enquiries were an error. She resigned after referring the dispute to the Court.
