The Labour Court said it could not recommend conceding a claim by 55 Platelayers at Iarnrod Eireann for equal pay-scale assimilation when acting up as mobile gangers. The recommendation was signed on 9 August 2021. Iarnrod Eireann distinguished full Mobile Ganger duties from acting up to supervise contractors. The Court said the parties disputed the work and pay history since a 2011 agreement, and invited them to engage to agree the facts.
