The Labour Court recommended a 1.5% pay increase from 1 June 2020 for Three Industrial Cleaners employed by Sodexo Ireland Ltd. The recommendation was signed on 9 June 2021. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the three workers had missed 2015, 2016 and 2017 Contract Cleaning ERO increases under a 2017 agreement. Sodexo Ireland Ltd said the workers were already paid above sector minimum rates and cited a 40-cent-per-hour increase and a further offer that had been rejected. The Court also recommended that the parties engage to agree how the workers’ pay would be determined in future.
