The Labour Court recommended that HSE Cers fund training for up to 200 Health And Social Care Professionals who lost the chance to compete for supplementary recruitment panels. The recommendation was dated 5 May 2021. Forsa said its members were misled about their eligibility and sought restoration of the original panels or financial compensation. HSE Cers accepted that its communications did not clearly explain that candidates could keep their existing panel position or apply to a supplementary panel, but said it could not change the panels retrospectively. The Court said HSE Cers had incorrectly advised the workers and declined to remedy the resulting problem, while restoring the panel was no longer practical. It recommended personal development, interview training or coaching, with HSE Cers meeting costs up to €500 per person. The opportunity should remain open for twelve months from the recommendation date.
