The Labour Court recommended that Trinity College Dublin look favourably on a lecturer's wish to return to full-time work after she gained specified qualifications and experience. The recommendation was signed on 29 September 2020. IFUT said the lecturer, who had moved to part-time work in 2009, had sought a return to full-time hours and that her working arrangements affected her finances and future pension. Trinity College Dublin said she had agreed to a permanent 60% commitment and argued that the claim would increase costs. The Court noted that she had signed a 60% hours contract but had not understood it to be indefinite. It recommended that she follow professional development advice from the former Head of School, after which the College should look favourably on her request.
