The Labour Court recommended no variation to the agreement on restoring fixed-amount allowances at University College Cork. Its recommendation, signed on 23 September 2020, said the 5% reduction was due to be restored on 1 October 2020. The dispute, referred by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union for 50 Workers, concerned Saturday and Sunday work allowances reduced in 2010. UCC said the public service pay rules did not allow it to increase fixed allowances before the agreed date.
